The client, a municipal corporation, wanted to build a digital solution for managing infrastructure projects. A software that can act as a platform with real-time reporting features and collaboration capability across multiple departments was necessary.
The core objective was to develop a centralized platform that ensures seamless collaboration among different departments handling infrastructure and other high-stakes government projects.
The client wanted to offer a user-friendly interface with seamless access to technical data based on hierarchy. Other objectives are ensuring compliance with reporting standards and accuracy in civil engineering metrics including raw materials.
Managing mega-projects that involve multiple departments like bridges, roads, drainage, water supply, etc. leads to inefficiencies. A lack of collaboration between any of these departments can bring disastrous results.
The client relied on paperwork and manual activities that were prone to errors and remained inefficient.
Understanding technical terms and maintaining a subtle balance between different departments and projects on a single platform was difficult. Another challenge was to follow the hierarchy of government officials while giving access to crucial information.
